BPS-Murung Raya Regency successfully conducted training for the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) enumerators for February 2025. The training lasted for eight effective days, comprising self-paced sessions from January 13 to 15, 2025, online sessions on January 16, 17, and 20, 2025, and in-person sessions on January 22 and 23, 2025, held at the BPS Murung Raya Office Hall.
The training was attended by six participants, consisting of four field enumerators and two field supervisors. It aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to carry out SAKERNAS, one of the most critical surveys conducted by BPS to capture labor force characteristics in Indonesia.
The Head of BPS Murung Raya, Restu Kristianto, S.Pi., officially opened the training session. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of data collected through SAKERNAS in supporting economic and labor policy planning. “The data generated from SAKERNAS serves as a foundation for understanding the labor market in our region, enabling more informed decision-making,” said Mr. Restu.
The 2025 SAKERNAS introduces several updates, including quarterly implementation in February, May, August, and November, as well as the adoption of the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) method to enhance data accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, the labor force concepts applied in this survey have been updated in accordance with the latest references from the International Labour Organization (ILO), including ICLS-13, ICLS-19, ICLS-20, and ICLS-21.
Through this training, it is expected that the enumerators will perform their duties effectively and produce accurate data to support development efforts in Murung Raya Regency and across Indonesia.
