BPS - Murung Raya Regency proudly conducted the training for field staff involved in two crucial surveys: the National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS) March and the Quarterly Household Economic Survey (SERUTI) for the First Quarter of 2025. The training, held from January 13 to January 24, 2025, aimed to prepare the staff responsible for executing these surveys, which play a vital role in collecting socio-economic data for Murung Raya Regency.
This hybrid-format training, combining online (via Zoom) and offline (in-person) sessions, took place at the Family-Q Hotel in Puruk Cahu. The training participants included 16 Interviewing Officers (PML) and 33 Field Checkers (PCL), divided into two batches. The first batch training was held on January 13-15 and January 21, 2025, while the second batch training occurred on January 16-18 and January 23-24, 2025. Each session was designed to be interactive, offering a deep understanding of the survey process and the methodologies employed.
The training was led by national instructor Khoirul Anwar, S.Tr.Stat., who brought extensive experience and knowledge in socio-economic surveys. During the opening ceremony, Restu Kristianto, S.Pi., Head of BPS Murung Raya Regency, delivered a speech emphasizing the significance of the data gathered from the SUSENAS March and SERUTI surveys. The data generated from these surveys serve as the foundation for the development of accurate, evidence-based economic policies, which can be used by the government and stakeholders to design targeted development programs.
Mr. Restu further stressed that the data from SUSENAS March and SERUTI provide a clear picture of the socio-economic conditions of households in our region. These surveys are conducted annually by BPS and serve as reference points for generating essential economic indicators, such as poverty rates, unemployment levels, and labor force characteristics in Indonesia, including in Murung Raya Regency.
This training is not just a technical preparation but also an effort to enhance the field officers' understanding of how to engage with respondents and ensure that the data collected is accurate and reliable. With a professional approach, it is expected that every field officer will carry out their tasks with full integrity, ensuring that the survey results can be trusted and bring maximum benefits for regional development.
For our Sahabat Data (Data Friends) who will be visited by our staff for the SUSENAS March and SERUTI data collection, we encourage you to support this effort by welcoming the officers and providing honest and accurate responses.
