August 2024: The number of air transportation passengers during August 2024 decreased by 6.86 percent compared to July 2024, while the number Sea transportation passengers increased by 2.66 percent

Flight frequency in August 2024 increased by 1.12 percent compared to July 2024, from 1,232 flights to 1,247 flights. The number of air transport passengers fell by 6.86 percent, from 129.11 people (July 2024) to 120,262 people (August 2024).

• Goods traffic using air transportation fell by 5.79 percent, from 2,246 tons (July 2024) to 2,116 tons (August 2024).

• During August 2024, air transport passenger activity (54.48 percent) and goods flow (73.96 percent) were concentrated at Tjilik Riwut Airport.

• The frequency of visits by ships at ports in the Kalimantan Tengah Province increased by 2.66 percent, from 713 visits (July 2024) to 732 visits (August 2024).

• The number of sea transportation passengers fell by 33.19 percent, from 52,276 people (July 2024) to 34,925 people (August 2024).

• Goods traffic using sea transportation increased by 4.35 percent from 1.57 million tonnes (July 2024) to 1.64 million tonnes (August 2024).

• During August 2024, sea transport passenger activity is concentrated at Kumai Port (76.58 percent), while goods flows are concentrated at Sampit Port (51.04 percent)
