August 2023: The number of air transportation passengers during August 2023 decreased by 11.90 percent compared to July 2023, while the number of sea transportation passengers decreased by 21.34 percent

Abstract

Flight frequency in August 2023 decreased by 8.93 percent compared to July 2023, from 1,064 flights to 969 flights.

The number of air transport passengers fell by 11.90 percent, from 109,220 people (July 2023) to 96,220 people (August 2023).

Goods traffic using air transportation fell by 3.83 percent, from 1,384 tons (July 2023) to 1,331 tons (August 2023).

The frequency of visits by ships at ports in the Kalimantan Tengah region increased by 0.40 percent, from 752 visits (July 2023) to 755 visits (August 2023).

The number of sea transportation passengers fell by 21.34 percent, from 53,873 people (July 2023) to 42,378 people (August 2023).

Goods traffic using sea transportation decreased by 15.59 percent, from 1.69 million tonnes (July 2023) to 1.42 million tonnes (August 2023).

During August 2023, sea transport passenger activity is concentrated at Kumai Port (70.62 percent), while goods flows are concentrated at Sampit Port (46.84 percent).
