Abstract

The percentage of poor people in September 2021 was 5.16 percent the same as March 2021 and decreased by 0.10 percentage points compared to September 2020.

The number of poor people in September 2021 was 141.03 thousand people, an increase of 0.99 thousand people from March 2021 and a decrease of 0.75 thousand people from September 2020.

The percentage of the urban poor in March 2021 was 4.86 percent, rising to 5.08 percent in September 2021. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor in March 2021 was 5.38 percent, down to 5.23 percent in September 2021.

Compared to March 2021, the number of urban poor in September 2021 increased by 3.40 thousand people (from 54.46 thousand people in March 2021 to 57.86 thousand people in September 2021). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of rural poor people decreased by 2.41 thousand people (from 85.58 thousand people in March 2021 to 83.17 thousand people in September 2021).

The Poverty Line in September 2021 was recorded at 522,879,-/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of 407,871,- (78.00 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of 115,008,- (22.00 percent).

In September 2021, the average poor household in Kalimantan Tengah Province had 4.87 household members. Thus, the size of the Poverty Line per poor household on average is Rp. 2,546,421,-/poor household/month.
