BPS Murung Raya Regency continues to promote the spirit of One Data Indonesia through the Desa Cantik 2025 Program. This program is a commitment to enhancing the capacity of village/urban village governments in statistical data management, in line with the mandate of Law No. 16 of 1997 on Statistics. Through this approach, villages and urban villages are expected to become more independent in identifying their needs and potential, thereby optimizing data-driven development.
As an initial step, BPS Murung Raya Regency coordinated with the Community and Village Empowerment Agency (DPMD) and the Regional Planning, Research, and Innovation Agency (BAPPERIDA) of Murung Raya Regency. The outcome of this coordination determined Muara Untu Village as the candidate for the Desa Cantik Program in Murung Raya Regency for 2025.
• The selection of Muara Untu Village was based on several predetermined indicators, namely:
• The proposed village/urban village has never been nominated as either a primary or additional Desa Cantik before.
• The village is located relatively close to the BPS Murung Raya Regency office to facilitate guidance and assistance.
• The availability of high-quality internet facilities at the village/urban village office to support mentoring activities.
• The presence of computers/PCs/laptops dedicated to data management at the village/urban village office.
• The availability of village/urban village officials who are proficient in operating computers/PCs/laptops.
With the selection of Muara Untu Village, this program is expected to raise awareness of the importance of data in development. Additionally, Muara Untu Village is anticipated to serve as a model for the successful implementation of the Desa Cantik Program for other villages in Murung Raya Regency.
